Adelaide key forward, Taylor Walker, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract, meaning he will remain a Crow until at least the end
of the 2015 season.

Walker, 22, has played 54 AFL games and kicked 119 goals for Adelaide since debuting in round one of the 2009 season against Collingwood at the MCG.

He grew up in Broken Hill and played with the North Football Club before being recruited by Adelaide in 2006 through the NSW Scholarship Program.

He was added to the Crows' list at the end of 2007, with pick number 75 in the AFL draft and subsequently moved to Adelaide full time.

Taylor Walker said the positive direction of the football club was a key motivator to stay.

"I feel pretty excited about resigning. I think we're going onto some big things and that's the main reason I signed.

"It wasn't a tough decision to stay. The boys are playing really well and we're in a good spot.

"I think it's going to be very exciting."

Adelaide Football Operations General Manager, Phil Harper, said the Crows were thrilled at securing Walker for another three years.

"We are really pleased with Taylor's development to date, from a raw schoolboy from Broken Hill to a formidable forward in the AFL, so we are pleased he has committed to the club for an extended period.

"Taylor will be a key player in our club's quest for success in the next few years," Harper said.

Sitting fourth in the Coleman Medal count, Walker is tracking toward a breakout season, having kicked 29 goals in his nine games.

Last year he was Adelaide's top goalscorer with 32 goals.

Walker is the latest in a string of Crows players to re-sign with the club, including Rory Sloane, Patrick Dangerfield, Richard Douglas and Matthew Jaensch.
