City Council has announced an ambitious plan for the new film studios.

This weekend a nation-wide search will begin to find suitable investor partners.

Council will embark on an advertising campaign in some of Australia’s leading newspapers and online to attract suitable enterprises and individuals to build strategic partnerships to help develop, manage and/or operate the multi-million dollar facility.

Today’s the day for the kids to take their parents by the hand and walk them to school.

“National Walk Safely to School Day” for primary school children has become a very popular event on school calendar.

The idea behind it is to promote regular walking, cut dependency of the car and teach road-crossing skills.

An all star line up will assemble in Broken Hill for this weekend’s ‘King of the Hill’ speedway race meeting. 

The racers will take part in sidecar and Moto-X competitions in the event on Saturday night. 

Broken Hill based sidecar racer, Daniel Stephens, is excited about the quality of the visiting riders.
