The more the merrier at Alma Carols

Alma Public School will be holding their own Carols by Candlelight tomorrow evening to get into the Christmas spirit.
The event is being organised by the Alma P and C to help raise money for the school.
Plenty of toys donated at Toy Run

Lifeline has thanked locals for their donations to the Ulysses Toy Run, making it another successful year.
Every year the Ulysses Motorbike Club of Broken Hill hold a toy run to collect toys for the less fortunate.
Organisers deem pageant a success

Organisers of the 2012 local Christmas Pageant are thrilled at how successful the event was over the weekend.
Saturday evening's events looked to be threatened by rain and wind but the weather pulled through to give locals a great evening, according to South Rotary's John Rouse.
"We are thrilled...The weather was kind, there were plenty of people and it looked like everyone was having a good time," he said.

As the festive season draws near, locals are being reminded to think of those for whom Christmas can be a financial struggle.
One way of helping is to donate to the BDT Christmas Appeal which has now been running for 25 years.
