SUCCESS: North’s Nathan Rayner spoils the ball. SUCCESS: North’s Nathan Rayner spoils the ball.

North have recorded a runaway 46 point win over the Robins on Saturday, but don’t let the final margin fool you - this contest was hard and tough all day.

The Robins went to the last change with a one-point lead, but North tore the game apart with a four goal burst early in the last term and that was enough to deflate the Robins.

The opening three quarters was an old-fashioned shoot-out, with both sides trading goals.

Saturday, 21st April, 2012

By Balldock

Today’s big game at League Headquarters has the Robins up against the Roos in what looks to be a very interesting contest.

The Robins are coming off a very good first up showing against Central while the Roos will be a little annoyed with their first outing.

This is a huge game for both sides and you just get the feeling that the Robins have more to lose. In fact, they haven’t won their opening rounds since the 2000 season and a win today will go a long way towards restoring credibility in the Robins outfit.
