Rob has won every singles championship since he moved to the city as a 21 year old in 1988.

Chris Vasey and Melissa Sinnott have walked away from the weekend's 48th Inland Darts Championships as winners, after both prevailed in tight Grand Finals.

The event was held at Club Legion and attracted some of Australia's best darts players, with thousands of dollars of prize money up for grabs.

South Australia was particularly well represented, with five of their top ten male and female players taking part.

North have recorded a thrilling five run win over South at the Zinc Oval in a game which chopped and changed throughout the day before an eventual winner was found.

With South surprisingly starting favourites and the game panned out that way from early on, with South dominating from the outset.

On an already predictable pitch, South's top order bowlers tore through the North line up, and it seemed that South's first win loomed large.

Former West Robins' player and AFL hopeful, Mitch Clisby, missed out on being selected by an AFL club in last night's AFL Draft on the Gold Coast, despite speculation that he was on the radar of the Brisbane Lions.

The 22-year-old, who plays for North Adelaide in the SANFL, had been considered a real chance of being selected in the draft and had been picked
in a couple of phantom drafts in the lead up to the event.
