Long-standing records were smashed and Murray toppled Darling at Railway Town Primary School's swimming carnival yesterday.
Gloomy overcast skies hovered over the Regional Aquatic Centre, threatening to put a dampener on what promised to be a sunny day in the water.
BH Swimming Club returns victorious

The Broken Hill Swimming Club left the South Australian Country Swimming Championships in Gawler with a swag of medals.
The Broken Hill Swimming Club has returned as a team of champions after four days of competition at the South Australian Country Swimming Championships in Gawler.
They held their ranking as the most successful local club for the fifth year in a row, finishing in overall 4th place on 860.5 points, 298.5 points clear of Silver City in 6th place on 562 points and Alma Broken Hill on 59 points.
This makes the city of Broken the most successful town at the Country Championships with the three clubs totalling a winning score of 1481.5 points, 42.5 points clear of the championship winning club, Onkaparinga.
Swimmers make a splash

The Silver City Swim Club held their own at the recent Playford Aquatic Club meet, with the club's swimmers bringing home four medals and eclipsing a number of personal best times.
In all, Broken Hill's swimmers achieved 11 personal best times, 11 Australian Junior Excellence (JX) standards up to silver level, as well as winning one gold, two silvers and one bronze medal.

Three Broken Hill swimmers have come away from the 12 years and under South Australian State Short Course Swimming Championships with a bronze medal, six top 10 placings and 16 personal best times between them.
Broken Hill was represented in the Adelaide State Aquatic Centre event by Rohan Cutting, Kiara Pressler and Kai Pressler, all from the Silver City Swim Club.
Super swimmers shine again

Numerous medals were won and several personal best times were smashed by Broken Hill's participants in the recent SA State Short Course Swimming Championships.
Broken Hill was represented by three swimmers from the Silver City Swim Club, in the competition for 13 to 18 year olds, which was held
over three days at the State Aquatic Centre in Adelaide.
Ellysia Oldsen, Indianna Paull and Jesse Cochrane- Adolfson competed with distinction, bringing home 11 medals and recording 10 personal best times between them.
