The children in the St James’ Church Sunday School are well prepared for their final Children’s Service of the year.

The service, at 10.15am on Sunday, is run by the children who write and say prayers and recite bible readings.

Throughout they have attended Sunday school which is taught by Sanny and Chris Dougherty. They do crafts and activities related to bible readings as well as have morning tea and fellowship afterwards.

The sessions are held every Sunday during the school term.

The church welcomes all children and if you would like to join call the Reverend Helen Ferguson on 8087 4402 for more information.

Over Christmas the church will holding several services, the first being the Children’s Service for Christmas Time at 7pm on Christmas Eve at St James Church. The children will be read the Christmas Story and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

There will be a Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve at 11pm and another on Christmas Day at 8.30am at St Peter’s Church on Lane Street.
