Next Wednesday will be the launch of Aged Care Employee Day - a day for the entire aged care workforce.

The day is designed to celebrate each and every team member involved in the journey of caring for people who receive aged care services.

Through their work, these people often develop meaningful relationships with our older loved ones, becoming defacto family members in the process.

Southern Cross Care (SCC) Broken Hill CEO Zoe Tonkin said they would be recognising the contributions wonderful staff make on a daily basis to the care and wellbeing of older people in Broken Hill.

Morning and afternoon teas, incorporating years of service awards will be presented on the day at SCC facilities in Broken Hill and Sunraysia.
