The Community Markets are on again today with a wide variety of stalls to suit everyone’s tastes.

One of the newest stalls at the markets is Tarryn Bow’s ‘Raar Raar Resin’ collection of colourful jewellery and homewares.

Tarryn is a local artist who grew up in Broken Hill before moving to Victoria after high school to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Latrobe University. In 2005 she returned home to work for none other than Pro Hart.

Tarryn said she taught herself how to use epoxy resin two years ago and became obsessed with the glass-like finish.

After posting a picture of her first creation, family and friends began asking her to make them something similar, and from there ‘Raar Raar Resin’ was born.

Since then she has expanded her creative field by using the material on various surfaces including serving boards, wall art, jewellery, trinket boxes and wine tables.

Tarryn has also begun a second business ‘Auntie Tazz’ which comprises crazy jewellery made from acrylic shapes.

Soon she will have her products on sale at ‘Art Confessions’ in the Town Square, which is something she was very excited about. She has also been working on some bespoke pieces for the Broken Heel Festival which will only be available from the Palace Hotel.
