Theresa Bugeja is one of the lucky winners of the Great Aussie Coin Hunt giveaways.

Recently, Australia Post launched the Great Aussie Coin Hunt, which was designed to be fun for all ages.

As part of the coin collection they had R for RFDS and held an open day at the local RFDS base.

To thank the BDT’s readers they ran a giveaway of two of the coin collections.

It was one of the best received competitions with lots of entries.

Theresa and B Pascoe were the winners of the competition.

Theresa came to collect her coins yesterday.

“It’s beautiful,” she said.

She can’t wait to keep it for her family.

“I’m definitely going to keep the collection,” he said.

“I’ve got my father’s coin collection, so it will go with that.

“And one day one of the grandchildren will get it.”

The idea of the coins was to be an iconic reflection of Aussie life through an appealing A-Z set of specially themed $1 coins, it started with A for Australia Post.

The hunt began with the release of the first six coins featuring A for Australia Post, F for footy, I for Iced VoVo, M for meat pie, S for Surf Life Saving and X for the tiny township of Xantippe.

The coins can be found only at participating Post Offices.
