Most local supermarkets are running low on dunny roll due to the high demand for it.

Mick Schinella, owner and manager of IGA Fresh and Schinella’s Friendly Grocers, said customers were still mad for it.

“We sold out on Friday, it’s all gone, but we’ve got more coming in there’s no shortage of it.

“We’ll have more in Thursday morning and if it weren’t for the public holiday (in SA) we would’ve had it in Wednesday,” he said.

“It’s was all going a bit crazy last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It’s just weird because there’s no shortage of toilet paper, the problem is getting it out to the stores via transport services from capital cities and getting it from the DC’s to the stores,” said Mick.

“We’re out of toilet paper here at Schinella’s Friendly Grocer as well.”

Lauren Colmer, Manager of Foodland Broken Hill said most of theirs sold out over the weekend and Monday.

“I’ve got some stock coming (today) and am doing more orders now for stock to come in on Friday, providing the warehouse has stock available.”

The bigger supermarkets are also being cleared out.
