Tuesday, 7th December, 2010
The Broken Hill High School's Language Learning Centre is up and running.
Local MP John Williams and Mayor Wincen Cuy cut the ribbon to open the centre at a ceremony yesterday.
Relieving principal Geoff Webb said the school was pleased with the new facility.
Mr Webb said it would be used for career classes, interactive classes between Willyama High School and Broken Hill High School and language classes.
"It is a pretty exciting thing to have in the school," Mr Webb said. "It is a facility the whole school can use."
The centre is part of a Federal Government program to give students direct online connection with other learning classrooms in NSW.
