Trio trains young talent Three of Australia's top basketballers were in the city yesterday to help nurture local talent.
Adelaide Lightning's Caroline Burgess was joined by teammates Lithuanian Augustina Zygaite and American Amber Land, who is training with the SAWomen's Basketball League team.
More than 70 attended the clinic and a Titan and Chargers team organiser said the combined experience of the three international players made for a rare experience for local juniors.
He said the clinics would greatly benefit the development of basketball in the city. Amber Land said the clinics gave children extra encouragement.
"We are giving the kids an opportunity to increase skills and see a different level they might not get to see," Ms Land said.
She said the girls did skills work with the youngsters that included dribbling, passing, shooting and defence.
"We will also play fun games using these skills," Ms Land said.
