For the first time, people will be able to read about White’s Mineral Art and Living Mining Museum in a new book written by owners Betty and Kevin ‘Bushy’ White.
The 16-page book includes photos of Kevin’s famous mineral art which he says reflects the history of the city. It also includes two short biographies about Kevin and Betty.
Kevin, who worked on the mines for 26 years, said the book contained more than 30 prints of his work and was aimed at people who couldn’t afford to buy an original.
“This will give people a bit of Broken Hill,” Mr White said. The book also features a list of minerals used in the art works, along with pictures of Betty White’s doll collection.
“Jack Absalom just bought 200 to put in his gallery,” she said. The book sells for $6 and is available from the museum at 1 Allendale Street.
