Woman found safe and well

A woman who went missing after walking into bushland sparked an air and ground search before being found safe and well late yesterday afternoon.
Police said the 35-year-old went missing shortly after 9am following an argument with a friend at a house in Knox Street.
She was last seen walking into the regeneration reserve.
Police were notified and organised a ground search of the area with members of the State Emergency Service and ambulance.
A helicopter brought to the city to help flood-affected landholders was also used in the search.
Detective Inspector Mick Stoltenberg said the woman had health problems and police were concerned for her welfare.
But late yesterday afternoon she was found on the Menindee Road trying to hitch-hike, DI Stoltenberg said.
