Outback International Taekwondo has two new lead instructors who are ready to teach you the martial art.

The club has recently undergone a change of instructor, and instructor Trevor Kendell says there are now new classes that are run twice weekly to teach young ones the basics of Taekwondo such as self defence.

Mr Kendell said the classes help build confidence and self esteem in children.

"With the kids it's fun," he said.

"We're a Taekwondo family."

He also said discipline was a very important part to the lessons.

"There's discipline right from the word go."

Classes for youngsters will be held Monday and Wednesday at the old Scout Hall at 132 Oxide Street from 4:30 to 5:30pm.

Classes for adults run from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and senior level classes run from 6pm until 7pm on the same days.

Anyone with any queries can contact Trevor on 8088 2739.
