Netball season arrives

Locals keen to play netball are invited to a registration day being held tomorrow.

The Broken Hill Netball Association (BHNA) Registration Day will held be at the O’Neill Park Sporting Complex Netball Courts from 12 noon to 2pm.

The day is open to all new players as well as returning players.

Netball Associating Registrar, Treasurer and Acting Vice President, Leah Carr, said last year’s competition attracted 500 women and girls across all grades.

Mrs Carr said the association was hoping to build on that number for the new season which starts on March 2.

Games will be played every Wednesday night except during the school holidays.

Tomorrow’s registration day will include a sausage sizzle and a five percent discount will apply to members who sign up on the day. There will be no family concession this year.

Team captains and are invited to attend so the association can place teams into grades.
