EXCITED: Rebecca McRae is looking forward to a busy year ahead. EXCITED: Rebecca McRae is looking forward to a busy year ahead.

Our series of articles covering the new school year as written by the students themselves continues today with Rebecca McRae, a Year 6 student at Morgan Street Primary.

My name is Rebecca McRae and I am in Year 6 this year - Yippee, a senior!

It is a really important year because it is my last year here at a very good school, Morgan Street Public.

At school so far I have achieved vice SRC, vice house captain and library monitor. I am looking forward to all of my responsibilities especially library monitor as I get to go into the library on Tuesdays and sort out the books and tidy the shelves up. Heaps fun!

I have also just got in to the girls' Barrier Soccer team and I am so excited because it was my last year to run for it.

My school years have been fun. I have been at Morgan Street since kindergarten. I can still remember all the memories that I had back then. Next year I leave

Morgan Street and go to Willyama. I am a bit scared because I don't know what it will be like and there will be a lot more people around.

I have Miss Muir as my teacher and she will make sure that I will be ready for high school. This year I hope I will do better in all subjects. I love getting to school and chatting with my friends. My friends and I love hanging together and having a good time.
