Egg-citing ways to keep kids busy

Parents everywhere will be relieved to know there is a feast of activities on offer to keep children occupied over the school holidays.

The City Library, Police and Community Youth Club (PCYC), Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery and YMCA are among those holding activity sessions.

Easter Fun is the theme of the sessions at the City Library with the first being held tomorrow and another on the following Wednesday (April 20).

Children will get to hear Easter stories, participate in craft, games and egg hunts. Sessions start at 10.30am and finish at 11.45am.

Over at the PCYC, children in the vacation care program will participate in activities as varied as a cinema excursion, ball games, sand art and cooking. 

The vacation care program will run Monday to Friday this week and Monday to Thursday next week. For enquiries phone 8087 3723.

Japanese print-making is the theme of two sessions being held at the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery today and tomorrow.

Children will be painting, sculpting and print-making over the two days with sessions being run by art teachers Cathy Farry and Kathy Graham.

Vacancies on some days exist at the local YMCA with the holiday program including excursions to local attractions, craft, picnics and a party day.
