As part of the BDT’s dedication to informing and entertaining our loyal readers we are today pleased to announce the introduction of award-winning cartoonist Peter Broelman to our pages.
Broelman has twice been named Australia’s Cartoonist of the Year - most recently winning the award in 2009 - and on occasion he will be producing work specifically for BH, such as the cartoon involving Mayor Wincen Cuy.
His regular daily cartoon today appears as part of our re-designed Inbox on Page 9.
Broelman’s sharp appreciation of news and current affairs saw him capture the Editorial Cartoonist of the Year award in 2004, 2005 and 2009 and he will provide an entertaining addition to your daily newspaper experience.
After beginning his career at The News in 1990, Broelman has since contributed to a host of publications including People, TV Week, Sunday Mail, MAD, Cracked, Reader’s Digest and Australasian Post.
His work has also been used on Australian television and in The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden while his daily editorial cartoons are seen in regional newspapers across the country.
Peter has told the BDT he still hates going over the line when he colours in.
I hope you enjoy this new addition to our pages.
