Blanketing fog delays flights
Thursday, 21st July, 2011
Aircraft scheduled to fly in from Adelaide were held up for a second day in a row yesterday after more fog blanketed the city.
Both early morning flights had to wait three hours before being told it was safe to take off.
Jetset’s manager, Cheryl Cuy, said the planes landed about 10:30am instead of the usual 7:50am.
Ms Cuy said no other flights in and out of Broken Hill were affected.
“The Sydney flight got out yesterday morning and this morning,” she said.
