MOVING ON UP: Fresh from the success of the recent A-Grade grand final, the Broken Hill Netball Association is calling on interested locals to attend its AGM and help with the running of the new competition.

The new netball season is set to start in a few weeks, and the Broken Hill Netball Association is hoping for a little extra help to make the competition as successful as possible.

The BHNA will hold its Annual General Meeting at 6pm on Thursday at the courts, and would welcome any parents or interested individuals who can assist with the running of netball.

A canteen coordinator is also needed because the volunteers are struggling to cover both school and Association matches.

The AGM will be followed by a registration day on August 7 at the courts, and families will be able to save five per cent on their fees by joining up on the day. Registrations at the reduced rate will be accepted from 10am until midday.

Players are encouraged to sign up before the first game of the season on August 16. The game will be played on a Tuesday to avoid a clash with the under 18s football.

Anyone seeking more information on netball can e-mail at zarni@bigpond.com or visit the BHNA’s site on facebook.
