The Philharmonic Choir will present a concert of sacred music at Wesley Uniting Church tomorrow afternoon.

Choral music from composers as diverse as Vivaldi, Faure and Carole Bayer Sager will be featured along with modern hits such as “You Raise Me Up” and “The Prayer”.

The choir will do two of the songs learned in their recent workshop with composer George Torbay.

Popular choir soloists Lorriane McIntyre and Claire McCrae will make an appearance along with Tracy Chan who has been working as a physiotherapist at the local hospital and who is soon to return to Malaysia.

Whilst in Broken Hill, Tracy has been studying voice with the choir’s Musical Director, Diane Cotterill.

Ms Cotterill will join Marilyn Harris to sing a duet, and Uniting Church Pastor Will Pearson will also feature in a duet with John Trenerry.

A guest appearance by the Uniting Church Choir, under the direction of John Trenerry, will complete the program.

Entry to the concert, which starts at 2.30pm, is by donation ($5 minimum), and the choir invites you to join them for a pleasant Sunday afternoon of music.
