It was a Father’s Day with a touch of class at the Regional Art Gallery yesterday when the Broken Hill Civic Orchestra performed a special concert.

A good crowd was in attendance to enjoy the orchestra which was led by Conductor Mark Curtis.

They performed a varied selection of songs, ranging from classics such as the Emperor Waltz and Ragtime Dance through to contemporary tunes such as the Star Wars theme and The Pink Panther.

The performance was punctuated by a number of piano and violin solos performed by Taylor Huxtable, Chloe Vella, Joan Smith and Joy Harrison.
