With only two days left until the start of the Silver City Show, work in the pavilion is moving forward at lightning speed.

A small army of volunteers has helped set up leadlighting, photography, arts and craft sections in the pavilion for the 123-year-old event.

As the finishing touches were put on the building, art judge Bob Groves struggled with hundreds of children’s artwork entries.

“The arts and crafts are quite popular,” he said.

“Especially for those who entered works - they get quite excited.”

Showbag alley, competitions, art shows, rides, agricultural displays and exhibitions will be just some of the entertainment on offer over the three days.

The show kicks off this Thursday and runs until Saturday night at the Memorial Oval Showgrounds.
