Fun time in fine weather
Saturday, 17th September, 2011
Parents and grandparents stepped out in fine weather yesterday with the kids for rides, face painting and showbags at the Silver City Show.
As one of the city’s most anticipated annual events, about 14,000 people are expected to go to the show this weekend.
Seven-year-old Sydney Carter-Nardelli said she had a great time on the rides.
“My favourite part was the big bounce”, she said.
Five-year-old brother Declan enjoyed the all-time favourite dodgem cars, according to his grandmother Raelene Nardelli.
“The dodgem cars were his favourite because he kept crashing into his pa”, she said.
Mrs Nardelli said she preferred to watch from the sidelines.
For those who tend to shy away from the rides, there are always the animals, food stalls, pavilions and a fireworks display which begins at 9pm.
The Show continues today with gates staying open until midnight.
