For the third straight year Minor Premiers the West Panthers and second placed St Josephs will clash in the season decider for the A grade soccer premiership.

West advanced to the final automatically whilst St Josephs had their full squad turn out to score a convincing 6-0 win over Alma in the preliminary final. The score line could have been even bigger but for a huge game by Alma Goal keeper Tom Barlow.

In 2011 the two teams had another five intriguing contests with West prevailing 3-1 with a draw.

West will look to the round 14 game when they thrashed St Josephs 5-1 for confidence, whilst for St Josephs' win last week over Alma produced some of their best soccer for the year.

When West win they win big as evidenced by their 103 goals scored for only nine conceded. St Josephs have also been miserly with just 13 goals conceded, however they have the nickname of “Butchers” when it comes to scoring, landing 52 goals for the season.

West have five of the top goal scorers for the year with Shane Hayward capturing the golden boot with 20 followed by Johnny Bugeja 18, Matthew Ali 12, Zac Gilmour 9 and Bryant Mitchell 8. Only St Josephs Jyh Stubing was in the mix with 11.
