St Josephs have produced an amazing clean sweep of the 2011 soccer season, winning grand finals in all grades from Under 12 through to A grade.

The club claimed Under 12, Under 14 and Colts premierships on Saturday, before routing West in the senior grand finals yesterday.

The two clubs’ B grade clash finished in a nil-all stalemate before St Josephs prevailed  4-3 in a penalty shootout.

In the women’s match the Joeys girls produced a punishing 6-1 scoreline, scoring four goals in the last 10 minutes.

The main game of the day then saw St Josephs hold off a fast finishing West outfit.

West fought back bravely from a 3-0 deficit but were unable to bridge the gap.

More photos and reports will be published in this week’s BDT.
