Locals in search of some cool jazz and live dance entertainment are in for a treat next month.

Dancer and producer Andrew Bevan is presenting his latest show ‘Hot food and Cool Jazz’ at the Royal Exchange on November 11 and 12.

Jazz band the Major Minors will be providing the music while seven local dancers will provide the visual entertainment with a number of productions.

Mr Bevan said two ex-locals, Rebecca McClure and Zackari Watt, have also returned to the city to sing and perform in the show.

“I wanted to do something different and mix it up a bit. (I like to) keep it interesting,” Mr Bevan said.

“It is different to just a dance show.

“The night is about getting dressed up, going out and having a good time with some live entertainment.”

A glass of sparkling wine will be given to attendees on arrival, with drinks available at the bar and canapes also being served.

The theme is after-five cocktail dress. Tickets are $60 and available from the Royal Exchange. Doors will open at 6.30 and the show will start at 7pm.
