Patton Street will come alive with Christmas cheer next month when a community Christmas party is held in the thoroughfare.

Everyone in the city is invited to join the festivities on Thursday, December 1, from 4pm to 8:30pm.

The party is being organised by the Patton Village and spokesman Jason King said the Patton Street traders had contributed great financial support and enthusiasm to get things moving.

Partygoers will be entertained by buskers, school performers and the Community Choir. Santa will make an appearance and there will be market stalls and late night trading.

Mr King said he had been thrilled with the response from traders.

“The idea is for the whole community to come together as they have in the past and really celebrate the unique things on offer in the area.

“It’s a chance for everyone to catch up and celebrate and just relax in the build-up to Christmas.”

Anyone who would like to hold a market stall or take part in the entertainment at the Patton Village Christmas Party is invited to call 0400 508 659.
