A new ride is expected to be a big drawcard at this month's Silver City Show.
The Scorpion Ride has just been imported to Australia from the United Kingdom and is one of the fastest rides in the country.
Silver City Show Committee Secretary, John Ralph, said he expected the ride, which spins people three quarters upside down, to be a big hit.
"That ride will pull a lot of young people in," he said.
As well as the Scorpion, the show will also include old favourites like the dodgem cars, showbag stands, art and craft and a few other big rides.
"I don't think we'll be short on rides, that's for sure," Mr Ralph told the BDT.
The new Australian Living History display is also expected to be a crowd pleaser. The 119th annual Silver City Show will be held at the Memorial Oval from Thursday to Sunday.
Gates will open at 5pm on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday gates will open at 6am and pavilions will be open from 10am to 10pm.
On Sunday gates will open at 6am and entry will be free, although many of the rides will not be available.
Entry costs $12 for adults, $6 for pensioners and children under the age of 16, $4 for cars, and a daily family pass for two adults and four children costs $25. Children under the age of five get in free.
Next year's show will be combined with the local Swap Meet, which is not being held this year.
