Search on for Pageant Princess

Saturday, 14th November, 2009

The Quota Club of Broken Hill, in conjunction with South Rotary, is looking for the first "Pageant Princess."

Any female over the age of 10 is welcome to enter the quest and the Pageant Princess will receive a trophy, sash and certificate from City Council.

The winner will also ride on the Rotary float during the city's December 5 Christmas Pageant. BH Quota Club publicity officer, Helen Giblett, said she hoped to see locals embrace the concept. "As this is the first year a Pageant Princess will be part of the celebrations, we are hoping the Broken Hill public will give South Rotary and Quota its full support." Entry forms are available from the City Council Office and also from Newsworld in Oxide Street. Entries will close on Friday, November 27. The Pageant Princess will be judged on qualities like personality and community spirit and the winner will be announced on the Thursday before the pageant.
