Organisers have declared this year’s Toy Run, which saw over 100 motorbikes take to the streets on Saturday morning, a great success.

Vince Keenan from the Ulysses Club said 110 bikes took part in the annual run which saw members ride from Centro Westside out to Patton Street Park.

Mr Keenan said the event enjoyed great support from the locals with many supplying toys and also visiting the park after the run.

There they enjoyed a free sausage sizzle while some children even got to have a ride on one of the bikes that took part in the toy run.

Mr Keenan said lots of people came to the park to donate more gifts.

“It was really good to see,” he said.

The donations, which filled up a truck and ute, will be given to Lifeline to be distributed.

“It was a good contribution, Lifeline were very happy. There were plenty of gifts which the (Lifeline) girls will work on (and sort out) during the week.”

Mr Keenan thanked the public for their support and is looking forward to doing it all again next year.

“If it is the same weather and same turnout it will be excellent (next year).”
