A donation from the Harley Riders’ Association will help injured native animals right now.
The association has given $250 to the Rescue and Rehabilitation of Australian Native Animals (RRANA) to help them with the cost of food and medication.
The money came from the association’s Poker Run and, speaking on behalf of RRANA, Lindy Hunt said the timing could not have been better.
“It’s the busiest time of the year,” Ms Hunt said.
The year’s end is proving hectic for RRANA which has had the added pressure of more native animals flocking to the district as the result of an abnormally wet weather.
“We don’t get regular funding so donations like this are integral,” Ms Hunt said. “We keep going on for the animals.”
People wishing to donate towards the care of native animals, and anyone who finds an injured animal, may contact RRANA on 0429 204 416.
