City's first 2010 baby

Saturday, 9th January, 2010

The city's first baby of the year was born at the start of this week and for mother and child "everything has been great."

Freya Jane was born on Monday, weighing six pounds and nine ounces. Yesterday she arrived home from hospital, wearing the dress that her mother wore home from hospital when she was born. For Tiffany Dennis and Cameron Holden the birth of their first child went smoothly. Tiffany said everything was "good, really good." Despite the fact that Freya Jane was 10 days overdue, she said she was not stressed and just couldn't wait for her to arrive. On Sunday labour was induced and on Monday she was in labour for fiveand- a-half hours. Freya Jane arrived at 2.55pm. The happy couple said they wanted to thank hospital staff along with family and friends for all the help they had given.
