New president makes history for North
Saturday, 28th November, 2009
The North Football Club will come under the guidance of a female President for the first time in its history after Gloria Hack was elevated to the position recently.
Mrs Hack served as the Bulldogs' Vice President in 2008 and has been active on the board since 2007. Her affiliation with the club began via her sons Tobias and Brodey who have been playing in the blue and white since the Under 7 grade.
Although her appointment as President is a watershed moment in the local game, Mrs Hack said her only interest was furthering the club she loves. "I'm not in it to make any history, I just want to get that premiership trophy back into our club where it belongs," she said.
Mrs Hack said the club's members and officials had all been very supportive of her and vowed to continue the good work carried out by previous administrations. "It's all been very positive, there haven't been any negative comments at all," she said.
