Guests at the Civic Centre were treated to a Bollywood extravaganza last night at the St Pat’s Fashion Parade.
The Fashion Parade was as popular as ever and the audience lapped up the range of dances, performances and fashion tips from local boutiques.
The Parade’s co-ordinator, Dana Farcich, said all the models were fantastic, especially the youngsters.
The performers also proved a big hit, with Silver City Dance Academy students entertaining the crowd and a Tina Turner impersonator from Sydney, William Mafi, raising the house with his show.
“The dancers are brilliant. They only started practicing the week before school went back,” Mrs Farcich said.
Mr Mafi is in the district teaching performing arts in Menindee.
“He is fantastic, absolutely fantastic,” said Mrs Farcich.
St Pat’s Race Club President, Marg Corradini, described the parade as extraordinary.
“The amount of work that Dana and Shelly (Hayes) put in was enormous and it has paid off.
“People are saying it was one of the best,” Mrs Corradini said.
