Yesterday Railway Town Public School students flaunted egg-stra special attire at the annual Easter hat parade.

A range of stunning headwear was on display as students in Kindergarten to Year 6 took to the makeshift runway to show off their creative skills.

Principal Nigel Sherrard said that the parade was a great success that was enjoyed by students and teachers alike.

“This year’s Easter hat parade was a wonderful occasion where we had parents and grandparents come along to watch the parade of the magnificent hats that were created,” Mr Sherrard said.

“Many of the hats were created at home and brought in for the special occasion at Railway Town School.

“Of the many different designs there was lots of cotton wool, pipe cleaners and eggs used.

“Thanks to Miss Mack for her organisation of the event.”

Today marks the first day of the Easter school holidays and most students will start back at school for Term 2 on Tuesday April 24.
