Sprint car ace set for big finish
Friday, 1st May, 2009
The Ruhs family sprint car team is set to finish a great season on a high tomorrow night at the local speedway. The current 410ci Rookie of the Year, Josh Ruhs, has had a season of ups and downs, but the ups certainly have been achievements that he and the team are proud of. Josh and his brother/crew chief, Isaac, have raced at more than 30 meetings this season since October, and have made great improvements in both the 410ci and 360ci ranks.
Josh attended the Australian 360ci title held at Murray Bridge in March and took home the Ross Wright Memorial on night one. He started on pole for the title but was unlucky not to finish. Last weekend in Mildura Josh managed to claim second place for the final round of the 360ci Australian All Stars Series after starting 7th. With the momentum from Mildura, the team is keen to push for a great finish this weekend. With six months off after Saturday night, the team has already begun preparing for next season with new cars and parts, and after gaining valuable experience, Isaac is looking forward to spending some time in America, crewing for a well known race team to gain even more experience.
