Pro Hart original to go on sale
Friday, 20th April, 2012
“Change of Shifts”, a never-before-seen Pro Hart original, will be offered for sale for the first time in support of the upcoming Resources and Energy Symposium.
The painting comes from the Hart family’s private collection and is valued at $100,000.
Change of Shifts will be offered at a special discounted price of $75,000 and is only available to Symposium delegates who attend the event’s dinner.
Pro’s widow, Mrs Raylee Hart, will donate $15,000 from the sale to the Symposium Foundation, a charity that provides scholarships for students wishing to undertake tertiary education in the resources field.
Symposium Managing Director, Kerry Stevenson, said the money will help secure the industry’s future.
“We are very grateful for Mrs Hart’s support and generosity.”
The sale is being conducted in partnership with the EMED Mining Cultural Alliance which funds an artistic exchange program between Broken Hill and Riotinto in Spain.
