The Broken Hill Golf Club will be illuminated with moonlight, glow sticks and flashing golf balls when players tee off in the PCYC night golf fundraiser.
The 10-hole team ambrose event will begin at 5.30pm and continue into the night, with glow sticks placed at 50-metre intervals around the course to identify the location of greens, fairways and the pin.
Event organiser, Wayne Demery, said players will also be given special flashing balls that light up when hit.
“Once you hit them they flash for about five minutes, hopfully that should be enough time for people to find their ball and hit it again,” he laughed.
Teams of four can be registered at a cost of $30 per person, and individuals wishing to paticipate can also be placed in teams.
All money raised from the night will go towards helping the PCYC with their various youth programs.
“We see all the great work that the PCYC is trying to do, especially with their fitnss programs,” said Mr Demery.
“We want to build the PCYC back up to what it used to be, and make sure it remains as something positive for the youth of Broken Hill.”
The event will be held on May 4, and those interested are encouraged to contact the golf club on 8087 9099 as soon as possible as there is only room for another eight teams.
Cold drinks and a barbecue will be held on the night, and a bus service back into town will be available for participants.
