The Philharmonic Choir is holding a concert this weekend to celebrate the wonder of the world.
The concert, entitled “A Wonderful World”, will feature songs about nature, love, friendship and freedom.
Once again the choir is supporting young artists as they develop their talent. There will be solo performances by singer Dylan McLachlan and pianist Laura Falkner and the concert will also feature the 14-strong “Expression” Glee ensemble.
It will be held at 2.30pm on Sunday at the Musicians’ Club Auditorium, and the Philharmonic’s Marilyn Harris said there would be an abundance of melodious tunes.
“The choir will be singing very pretty stuff that most people will enjoy,” Mrs Harris said. “There will be some old songs as well as modern songs.”
Mrs Harris said the Glee ensemble was made up of her young pupils and who would sing arrangements of songs from the television show “Glee”.
Tickets are available at the door. For adults they cost $15, concessions $12, children $8 and group concessions of 10 or more are $10 each.
