The Silver City Swim Club held their own at the recent Playford Aquatic Club meet, with the club's swimmers bringing home four medals and eclipsing a number of personal best times.

In all, Broken Hill's swimmers achieved 11 personal best times, 11 Australian Junior Excellence (JX) standards up to silver level, as well as winning one gold, two silvers and one bronze medal.

The meet attracted fifteen clubs, including the notoriously strong Adelaide clubs, Norwood, Marion and Tea Tree Gully.

Under the rules of the competition, each swimmer was only allowed to compete in a maximum of four events.

Rohan Cutting claimed gold in the 50m Breaststroke and narrowly missed out on a second medal, finishing fourth in the 50m Butterfly.

Throughout the meet, he also recorded two personal best times, including a sizeable 6.42 second gain in the 200m Medley and achieved three JX
standard times.

Kalyce Pressler finished with a silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke and followed up with bronze in the 200m Breaststroke, with a massive 33.6 second personal best long course time. She attained three personal best times in total and two JX standards.

Kiara Pressler won silver in the 200m Medley and also achieved 3 JX standard times up to silver level.

Kai Pressler finished fourth in the 100m Breaststroke and managed to set personal best times in all four of his swims, including a notable 8.89 second break in the 100m Butterfly and a 7.97 second improvement in the 200m Medley.

Teammate Lachlan Cutting swam a personal best time in the 50m Breaststroke, as well as a JX standard time in the 50m Butterfly.

All five of the swimmers, along with their Silver City Swim Club teammates, are turning their attention to an upcoming swimming development
camp with swimmers and coaches from both the Onkaparinga and Whyalla Swimming Clubs.
