Resident 'bashed, robbed'

Police are searching for three women who allegedly assaulted and robbed an elderly man in his Crystal Street home.
They first entered his home about 7pm on Sunday and robbed him of a small amount of cash and then returned about 4pm on Monday, pushed him over and again stole his money, police said yesterday.
The women were described as being of Aboriginal appearance, with one about five feet tall with black hair and wearing a white t-shirt or tank top.
The other two were described only as being of medium build with black hair.
Inquiries are continuing.
Meanwhile, a variety of illegal drugs have been seized by police after they executed a search warrant on a home in Williams Street on Friday.
Police said they found about 3.4 grams of amphetamine, approx 1.9g of ectacy tablets, and 6.6g of cannabis, along with bongs, cannabis seeds, several hundred dollars in cash, a large number of resealable plastic bags and other items.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of deemed supply of prohibited drugs and two of possessing the proceeds of crime. He is due to face the Local Court on February 12.
Two televisions and three games mechines have been reported stolen from a house in King Street. In Blende Street, about 900 litres of diesel fuel was siphoned from heavy machinery that was left stored at a building site some time between Saturday morning and Monday morning.
