Volunteers for the McDonald's Clean Up Australia Day cleaned up four areas around the city on Sunday.
Local McDonald's manager, Mark Craven, said they had 18 volunteers on the day.
"We also had one member of the public. A lady turned up at the Block 10 clean up site," Mr Craven said.
"We tried to get as much as possible. Some of the steep hill was hard to get to. Also we cleaned up along the road down to Lindsay's Service Station.
"We cleaned near the Mildura Road tourist sign area and both sides of the road back to Kanandah Road as well.
"We covered the wetlands area near Woolworths petrol station and the vacant block of land next to Bridgestone on Galena street."
Mr Craven said that in total, 80 large bags of rubbish were collected and taken to the tip.
He said the volunteers had some interesting finds, including laptop computers and animal bones.
