Lovers of hot cross buns are invited to hop into the hospital tomorrow for its early Easter "Bundraiser".
The Bundraiser is an initiative of the Bakers Delight bakery which, in past years, has raised money for hospitals around Australia.
Hot cross buns will be sold at the hospital kiosk with $1 from each pack going towards new equipment for the hospital.
Buns can also be bought from Bakers Delight at Centro Westside all day tomorrow.
Kiosk Auxiliary President Betty Sammut said that this was the first time the hospital had joined the fundraiser.
"This is the first time but we're hoping to hold it next year as well," said Ms Sammut.
"We have no idea how many buns we will sell and we don't have a goal; we just hope it's a nice amount to make (Bakers Delight franchisee) Steve Vines' efforts worthwhile.
"We are very grateful and wish to thank Steve for his generosity."
Mr Vines said that the bakery was "really excited" to support such an important cause.
"We are hoping the community will really get behind the event," he said.
"Both traditional and choc-chip flavours will be available.
"We'll also be donating some buns to the kiosk in the lead up to the Bundraiser to help raise some more money and donations tins will be available on our counters."
The bakery's staff will also dress in hospital "scrubs" on Friday to sell the buns.
