The South and West Football Club girls will be holding a trial match tonight.
West captain, Alexis Lenton, said the game was to get players out as well as to attract more.
"All the girls are excited to play and we're hoping we might get some more interest from it," Alexis said. South player Sarah Carnie said the South girls were also holding a fundraiser for team member Steph Balman who was raising money for Shave for a Cure.
"We will have cakes, sausage sizzle and drinks," Sarah said.
"We decided to face West because we were playing Central in the Lightning Cup and wanted to play someone different."
Sarah said she hoped it will drum up interest for the girls in general.
"We encourage everyone of all ages to check out the talent and help us raise money for Shave for a Cure."
Steph said she had already raised about $1,500 from the shave which she underwent on Friday evening.
"It has been awesome but I would like to raise as much as I can," she said.
