The Wilcannia Golf Club has thrown the battling Dowling family a lifeline by donating $10,000 towards their daughter Zali's urgent operation.
Phillip and Tammie Dowling this week asked for the public's help to raise the money.
Zali (4) will go under the knife to fix a problem where reflux travels through the bladder and up to her left kidney.
The condition shrinks the kidney down to an abnormal size. Golf Club manager Teri Kalamistrakis said yesterday he'll be giving $5000 from his own pocket and the board will match it.
"It is unfortunate for the poor little girl," Mr Kalamistrakis said.
"She's gone through that many operations and they are struggling and I thought if I could help them in any sort of way I'd like to see the child get the treatment."
Mr Kalamistrakis admitted it was a large sum of money but "that's what you work for nowadays.
"I've worked all my life for the last 60 years."
Mr Dowling said due the great outpouring of support, the family was sleeping a little easier.
Without the money, Zali would have to wait years for the operation.
"I'm an average person who earns a very small wage and I'm dumbfounded by the amount of people who want to help," Mr Dowling said.
"We can't say thank you enough to the people that have helped us.
"When you look at it, there are kids that have been on waiting lists for 18 months and if something more urgent comes along they get bumped down the list."
