Children who participate in the YMCA holiday program will have a jam-packed two weeks.
Teegan Ralph, from the local YMCA, said the children started off the week with some cooking and games.
"Throughout the next two weeks they will go for a train ride, go to Silverton for a barbecue, go to the park and the movies," Ms Ralph said.
"Yesterday, they got pizza and lasagne. All the children were very helpful and got in to lend a hand."
She said this will lead into Masterchef-style cooking classes being run next term.
"They will come here and learn to cook a few things. We will hold it once a week after school."
Ms Ralph said the holiday program still has places available for parents looking to keep their kids entertained.
