The Potters Society is holding a craft market this weekend, just in time for Mother's Day.

The "Pottery and Craft Fair" will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

President of the Potter's Society, Sandy Bright, said it was a fundraiser for the society and they normally held two craft fairs a year.

"The first one we hold before Mother's Day," Mrs Bright said.

"People can come in and get their gifts for Mother's Day. It is always quite popular."

There will be pottery, patchwork, folk art, jewellery, egg artistry, homemade cakes, jams, a sausage sizzle, tea and much more.

"Everything is handmade locally," Mrs Bright said. "We encourage people to come and support local craft."

Mrs Bright said the money raised would go toward the upkeep of the Potters Society building.

"Locals are always very supportive of the fair," she said.

The fair starts at 8am on Saturday and runs until 4pm. On Sunday it runs from 9am to 3pm.

There will also be demonstrations for anyone who might want to become members.

"We run classes Tuesday morning from 9am to 12pm or Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm," Mrs Bright said.

"We have about 27 members but we are always looking for new members. People are more than welcome to come and have a look."
